Statement of belief
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears. 2 Tim 4:2-3
Holy Bible
We believe the Holy Bible as the inspired and pure Word of God, without any error. 2 Timothy 3; 16, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Psalm 119:160, Matthew 24:35
Trinity
There is only one God, we believe in eternal existence of the Trinity: God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. 1 John 5:7, John 1:1, 14, John 14:11, 16
Jesus Christ
We believe in the Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ, Luke 1: 26-33 and that He is true God and man. He died on the cross for all our sins. Hebrews 9:29. He rose from the dead, ascended into heaven sitting at the right hand of the Father where he intercedes for us as our High Priest and Advocate. Matthew 17:15-17, John 1:1-14, Acts 2:32-33, Hebrews 4:14-15, Revelation 1:13:16
Salvation
We believe that man was created in the image of God but through sin and disobedience lost glory of God. Gen 1:26, Romans 3;23. The fall of man requires redemption through the Blood of Jesus Christ. This is only possible through redemptive work of the Holy Spirit. We believe that eternal salvation is the free gift of God to all that are willing to accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour. Acts 3:19, Romans 10:8-13, Jude 3:24
Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
We believe that Baptism is by immersion in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Lord’s Supper is a memorial to His suffering, death on the cross and a prophecy of His second coming. Our Lord Jesus Christ commanded the church to do it in His remembrance. Mark 16:16, Matt 28:19-20, Acts 2:38-41, Acts 8:37-39, Romans 6:4. Water baptism is not a substitute for Salvation. We are saved by grace and through faith in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9
Baptism of The Holy Spirit
We believe Baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongue. It is the promise of the Father. It is God’s gift which He gives to all His children: Luke 24:49; John 4:14-26; Acts 1:4-5; Acts 5:32; Acts 8:14-17, Acts 2:4; 10:44, 19:1-6
Restitution
We believe Restitution is a sign of true repentance. It is making good, or setting right what was made wrong. Restitution is the act of restoring to the rightful owner something that was taken by deceit. Ezekiel 22:3, Lev. 6:1-7; Luke 19:8; Prov. 28:13; Acts 24:16.
Sanctification
(Holiness) We believe sanctification is another grace of God by which our souls are progressively cleansed. All believers must pursue this in order to make heaven and be a true worshiper. John 17:15-17; I Thess. 4:3; Luke 1:74, 75; II Cor. 7:1, I Peter 1:16, Eph. 5:25-27, I Thess. 5:23-24.
The Rapture and Second Coming of Jesus Christ
We believe in rapture of the saint where the dead in Christ shall rise first and we who are alive and remain will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, I Cor. 15:51-52, Matt. 24:40-44. We believe that our Lord will return to the earth to judge the sinners and the ungodly. Rev. 19:19-21; II Thess. 1:7-10; Jude 1:14-15; Zech. 14:3-4.
Tithes and Offering
As a Bible believing Church, we believe in tithe as commanded in Malachi 3:10, to bring all the tithes to the house of God and that offering should be giving cheerfully without been compelled as each has purposed in his heart according to 2 Cor. 9:6-7. This is for the effective administration of the church.
Hell and Eternal Retribution
It is written in Heb. 9:27 “And it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgement”. It is our belief that both Heaven and Hell are real. Hell and eternal retribution is for those who refused Jesus Christ as their Lord and saviour, and anyone whose name is not found written in the book of life as recorded in Rev. 20:11-15, Rev. 14:10-11.
Divine Healing (Healing without medication)
Sicknesses and all kinds of diseases came upon man as a result of sin which was originated by the devil, but according to 1 John 3:18, Jesus Christ came to destroy the works of the devil. In Isaiah 53:5b, it is written that “And by His stripes we are healed” and in Psalm 107:2a, the Bible says that “He sent His word and healed them”. So as a church we believe in divine healing without medication. Our Lord Jesus Christ promised His believers in Mark 16: 17-18 that they will lay hands on the sick and they will recover. We believe that divine healing is the heritage of believers.
